The Salina Family YMCA is a 501 C (3) charitable organization dedicated to the development of individuals in spirit, mind and body. As a charitable organization, the Salina Family YMCA was founded and continues to be governed by volunteers. Throughout our history it has been the generous contribution of volunteer time, treasure and talent that has allowed the Salina Family YMCA to grow and flourish as it does today. The Annual Sustaining Campaign offered by the Salina Family YMCA has been made possible through the generous donations of many individuals and businesses. The “Strong Kids” Campaign provides needed funding to support financially assisted memberships, camper ship and child care services. Many of our members contribute to the YMCA on an annual basis. These funds allow the YMCA to continue to provide an ongoing opportunity for all members of our community to personally develop in spirit, mind, and body.

It works best when everyone's a part of it.

At the Salina Family YMCA, one of our most important goals has always been to enrich the lives of kids in our community. But when some are left out, it leaves us all a bit poorer. That’s because giving kids a safe and nurturing place to go benefits everyone. By introducing them to experiences that will help them grow into responsible, successful adults, we make the community we love a better place to live. One child at a time. One family at a time.

YMCA programs teach young people important values such as caring, honesty, responsibility and respect. Through a variety of fun and rewarding activities, they also develop valuable skills while they gain confidence and self-esteem. You simply can not put a price on strengthening and enriching the character of a child.

Why A Campaign

Membership and program fees at the Salina Family YMCA do not cover all the costs to support these vital community programs. To ensure that no one is denied a chance to participate because of inability to pay, we truly need your help. Through the YMCA Strong Kids Campaign, contributions help us provide program support and financial assistance to families who need it in our community. Only by working together can we give more kids the opportunity to grow strong in spirit, mind and body. The Strong Kids Campaign serves the following Youth and Teen Programs:

• All Day Child Care - Preschool After School Y-Kids - Camp Wood

• Youth Sports Swim Lessons, Camp Swat, Camp Wood, Y's Kids Afterschool program

• Gymnastics

We provided $190,753 in financial assistance and subsidies for the Salina's citizens this year.
